CIGARS | Still Popular
We traveled to Havana, Cuba in 1997 to cover the 30th Anniversary of Cohiba Cigars. Fidel was there to greet the auction winners, and autographed their forty to sixty thousand dollar box of Cohiba cigars. Since we didn’t participate in the bidding, we profusely lavished in the festivities of the world famous Tropicana in Havana, Cuba. As indicated in the story, Fedil prefers women rollers, but in the Dominican Republic men rollers are their top choice. Either way, it’s the blend that makes the cigar, but it’s the roller who keeps it together.

ROUSH | Mustang
While at the Abacoa Town Center Car Show, I met Robert the owner of this 2017 Roush Mustang Stage 2. He bought this car at Mullinax Ford of West Palm Beach the end on the 2017 model run. Robert recently drove the car over 1,300 miles to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise held the third week of August in Ferndale, Michigan. In addition to attending the dream cruise, Robert was able to tour the Roush Performance facilities in nearby Livonia, Michigan. In addition to seeing the facilities where many of Roush’s 2,000 employees work, he was able to get the inside of his car’s trunk signed by Jack Roush Senior and his son Jack. Robert regularly attends car shows South Florida and enjoys talking about his special Roush Mustang.
The ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang is built atop the legendary Mustang GT platform. The 5.0L V8 engine produces an incredible 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque out of the box. The core and optional ROUSH body and chassis components transform the ROUSH Stage 2 into the ultimate Mustang. ROUSH body components add true race-inspired styling, while the upgraded ROUSH suspension paired with wheels and tires add grip to curve corners like never before, boasting 1.07g on the skid pad. Pink Corvettes | Chevrolet
Bruce Springsteen wrote about a Pink Cadillac but he was actually thinking about the Corvette. The song follows Prince’s “Little Red Corvette” and Wilson Pickett’s “Mustang Sally” in using automobile travel as a metaphor for sexual activity, in particular the lyric “I love you for your pink Cadillac”, which was intended to be a veiled reference to a vagina. Springsteen, in fact, vetoed the first attempt by a female singer to release a version of “Pink Cadillac”, that being Bette Midler in 1983. However, “Pink Cadillac” had its highest profile incarnation via an R&B interpretation by Natalie Cole, which became a top-ten single in 1988.
In 1953, GM executives accepted a suggestion by Myron Scott, then the assistant director of the Public Relations department, to name the company’s new sports car after a small maneuverable warship. The first convertible, was introduced at the 1953 GM Motorama as a concept car; production models went on sale later that year. In 1963, the second generation was introduced in coupe and convertible styles. Originally manufactured in Flint, Michigan, and St. Louis, Missouri, the Corvette has since 1981 been manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Corvette has become widely known as “America’s Sports Car.” Automotive News wrote that after being featured in the early 1960s television show Route 66, “the Corvette became synonymous with freedom and adventure,” ultimately becoming both “the most successful concept car in history and the most popular sports car in history.”
Purple Cars | All Makes
What’s with the color Purple? Prince titled his hit album Purple Rain; When he passed the White House became purple. James Dean said the only thing that rhymed with purple is maple surple… Chug-a-lug. Ok, we get that, but we’re talking cars here. Purple. Cars. Enjoy.
Purple cars are few and far between because automakers produce what people want and not a lot of people want to buy purple cars. While deep metallic purples are not uncommon for expensive, exotic supercars, the potential negative impact on the residual value of a car in purple isn’t a popular choice for mass-produced vehicles. What Two Colors Make Purple? When you mix Blue and Red together you get Purple. But what if you’re looking for a different shade of purple? You can create different shades of purple by mixing different shades of red and blue. If you mix Warm Red with Blue you get a nice deep purple. Whereas if you mix a lighter shade of blue and warm red you will get a lighter purple. The color combinations are endless!.

|Tire Pressure Sensors (TPMS)
Most common TPS failure is caused by the battery. More specifically the drain-life of the battery inside the tire. Pressure sensors have a service life that typically ranges from 5 to 7 years. The service life can vary depending on how many miles a vehicle is driven. Tire pressure sensors also can fail as a result of corrosion on or inside the valve stem.
|Missing your 10MM?
The reason for this is straightforward: 10mm is one of the most common size fastener heads on modern vehicles, and thus one of the most commonly used tools. First to go always seems to be the deep ¼” drive 10mm socket.
Rechargeable Lithium battery powered lights are available in many convenient configurations and sizes. There are, however, some safety points to follow for safe use. Never shine the light directly into your eyes or shine it into someone else’s eyes. The brightness can cause vision damage if misused in this manner. Do not leave the light on if it is resting on a surface with the light shining against the surface. The energy of the light that is “trapped” against the adjacent surface can increase the temperature to the extent that damage, or a fire, can occur.
